Safari Itinerary
Day 1, Arrival in Burundi
Our tour guide will meet you at the airport for a transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnight at Club Du Lac Tanganyika Hotel
Day 2, Bujumbura city tour
After breakfast, take a tour of Bujumbura, the capital city of Burundi. Visit the Museum, Art and Craft shops. Interact and share stories with local people in Bujumbura. Visit and tour Lake Tanganyika. Dinner and overnight at Club Du Lac Tanganyika Hotel
Day 3, Visit Kibira National Park Burundi
Visit Kibira Forest National Park, for a guided nature walk in this park of few animals species. Time permitting, visit the Explorers Memorial, a huge rock in the Suburbs of Bujumbura commemorating the meeting between explorers John Speke and Hannington. Dinner and overnight at Club Du Lac Tanganyika Hotel
Day 4, Transfer to Rwanda
After breakfast, transfer to Rwanda, stop at Butare town, visit Rwanda’s National museum and learn about the Rwanda’s culture, history, traditions, Proceed to Kigali, the capital of Rwanda. Evening entertainment by Intore Cultural Dancers (Rwanda Cultural group). Dinner and overnight at Kigali Serena Hotel
Day 5, Kigali City tour and transfer to Ruhengeri
After breakfast, take a city tour in Kigali. Visit Genocide memorial sites, Art and craft shops, visit Orphanage at Gisenyi and interact with the local people. Transfer to Pac Nationale des Volcans (PNV). Dinner and Overnight at Volcanoes Virunga Lodge
Day 6, Gorilla Tracking in Rwanda and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Go for mountain gorilla tracking in PNV. Return for lunch and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Overnight at Arcadia Cottages
Day 7, Nature walk, Boat ride and transfer to Bwindi
Take nature walks and enjoy a boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi. Explore the lake and its islands. Later transfer through the Switzerland of Africa to Bwindi Forest, overnight at Silver Back Lodge Bwindi.
Day 8, Gorilla tracking in Bwindi and Batwa visit
Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable forest, in the evening interact with Batwa (pygmies) community and enjoy their cultural performances. Overnight at Silver Back Lodge Bwindi.
Day 9, Ishasha and transfer to Kibale forest National Park
Drive through Queen Elizabeth National park to Fort portal, visit Karambi tombs and Royal palace of Toro King, overnight at Ndali Lodge.
Day 10, Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi swamp walk
Morning Chimpanzee tracking and afternoon nature walk to Bigodi swamp for a walk. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge.
Day 11, Cultural tour and transfer back to Kampala (Entebbe)
Morning visit Amabeere ga Nyina mwiru cultural site, later transfer to Kampala. Upon arriving in Kampala you will go for a short city tour to see Kasubi tombs, craft shops and afterwards in the evening you go for cultural performances at Ndere cultural centre. You will have dinner at Minister’s Village Hotel. After cultural performance, transfer to Entebbe Airport for your flight back Home.
